Sure Thing variety dance band
Sure Thing is a nine piece* (7 + 2) full variety band including: guitar, keyboards, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, and drums with featured male and female vocalists.
*The band can be expanded or decreased in size to match the needs of any event.
Sure Thing is the creation of guitarist Steve Shurack. Steve has been leading bands around the world since the early 1970s. Formally trained in classical and jazz styles, with a degree in Guitar Performance, he has played in rock, dance and top-40, soul and r&b, country, blues, and jazz bands throughout his long career. You can enjoy his infectious energy, previously exported to ports of call in Asia, the major European countries, and all over the USA. Dance to the same guitar driven sounds that kept the royal family of Monaco and their friends dancing all night at Maxim’s in Paris and again in Nice, France.
Sure Thing is the result of these varied experiences. Steve and everyone in the band love to play every kind of music. With their 1500 song repertoire they will customize the entertainment to create the perfect atmosphere for your special occasion.
Sure Thing is built on strong vocalists featuring 3 and 4 part harmony, talented instrumental soloists and a powerful rhythm section. This sizzlin’ band knows how to make your party memorable. It’s sure to make the guests at your event hope the party never ends!

Steve Shurack and other members of Sure Thing also can be hired to add a touch of class to your wedding ceremony, cocktail party, or special occasion. Because Sure Thing has musicians trained in classical music as well as having experience in pop and jazz styles you can have beautiful solo classical or chamber ensemble music during your wedding ceremony or the early stages of your party before the dancing begins. A mix of classical, jazz, pop, ethnic, and show tunes can also be performed for an elegant musical background to any affair.
*Sure Thing can also perform as a 3 to 7 piece all instrumental jazz band playing everything from mellow bossa novas and swing to high energy contemporary jazz.
